Denton County Giving: Humane Tomorrow
We're animal lovers around here, so any nonprofit that benefits the lives of animals is one we can get behind. And several of our team members have experience adopting animals from Flower Mound's animal rescue nonprofit, Humane Tomorrow.
My wife and I adopted our very own Penelope from Humane Tomorrow back in 2014 and she has been the perfect addition to our home! It's amazing how they were able to match us with the perfect dog for our lifestyle and personalities.
Their mission is to promote a respectful, responsible, and compassionate relationships between animals and people, and they do that by rescuing and placing unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas.
Over the last 22 years, Humane Tomorrow has placed nearly 10,000 animals in new homes. All while operating out of Doctor Shaffer's veterinary office at Flower Mound Veterinary Hospital. But now they're excited to announce their new facility in Argyle which will allow them to expand their operations and provide temporary shelter for animals before placing them in foster homes.
If you're looking for a dog or cat to add to your family, we suggest submitting an application with Humane Tomorrow and/or visiting one of their Adopt-A-Pet events (view the schedule here).
There are so many other ways you can help Humane Tomorrow including making a donation, volunteering to be a foster home, or participating in their fundraising events like North Texas Giving Day on September 19 where you can find them at Parker Square or at their Fido Fest (coming up on September 28, 2019).
Giving an animal in need a home is honestly one of the best feelings in the world and we love that Humane Tomorrow fights for the lives of these animals. So, we encourage you to help us spread the word about their amazing mission, submit an application to become a foster or to adopt, or just visit them at one of their upcoming events to show your support!
