Denton County Giving: Flower Mound's Santa Cops Program
The holidays are officially here because Flower Mound's Santa Cops Program Toy Drive has kicked off and is now accepting toy and monetary donations to help children in Flower Mound who might not otherwise receive a gift from Santa on Christmas morning.
The Santa Cops program has been headed up by the Flower Mound Police Department and the Flower Mound Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association since 2005 in an effort to provide opportunities for positive interaction between the FMPD and children who might perceive law enforcement in a negative light.
The Toy Drive will run through Wednesday, December 4. You can deliver monetary or gift card donations directly to the Police Department, or you can drop off new, unwrapped, non-violent toys to any of the donation sites listed on the website.
Another way you can contribute to the Santa Cops Program is by making a referral of a family in need this Christmas. Download the referral form here and deliver to the Police Station or via email.
We have heard many wonderful stories from Santa Cops volunteers who have seen the lives of Flower Mound residents blessed because of this program. So, please consider finding a way to donate, whether that's monetarily or by participating in the toy drive.
Every child deserves a visit from Santa on Christmas and we can help make that happen!
