Foodie Friday DFW: Á La Sweet Coffee & Dessert Shop

It's been six months since Highland Village got its own taste of Parisian pastries and coffee thanks to Á La Sweet Coffee & Dessert Shop and its owner, Taylar Lee. 

This gourmet coffee and dessert shop offers a delectable array of macarons, French-style cakes, cookies, almond croissants, and rolled ice cream. 

And Taylar is highly qualified to be creating all of those delectables! She has worked as a pastry chef in New York, Las Vegas, and Paris. She studied at the French Culinary Institute of New York and worked at Lenôtre in France.

And when you step inside her shop, you'll feel like you've just walked into a French patisserie complete with a relaxing atmosphere where you can enjoy a book, meet up with a group of friends, host a tea party, or just play games with the family.

We got to sample several items from the menu and they were all both beautiful and delicious! Exactly what you'd expect to find in Paris!

As we mentioned before, Á La Sweet is also a gourmet coffee shop and they serve coffee and teas in iced, hot, and decaf forms. Choose from the classic Americano, Capuccino, Espresso or Latte; or try something different like the Keto version of a Bulletproof Cold Brew or a Cafe Legere which is espresso poured over ice cream.

Since opening six months ago, Taylar has grown to love her regular customers and looks forward to incorporating more seasonal and chef-inspired items to her menu. We can't wait to see what other beautiful concoctions she comes up with!
