2019 DFW Independence Day Celebration Guide
There are all kinds of events happening around the Metroplex this weekend and next week leading up to and on July 4th. Here are some of our favorites!
Saturday, June 29
Allen USA Celebration
Allen's community celebration always takes place the last Saturday in June, allowing the event to be a standout among other area cities' celebrations. Beginning at 4:00pm on Saturday, the 29th you can enjoy live music (including music from two former contestants from The Voice), crowd games, kid zones, a car show, a Ninja Challenge, NFL combine drills, food, and (of course) the epic Fireworks Finale at 10:05pm.
Midlothian Independence Day Parade
Historic Downtown Midlothian is the perfect place to give you that small-town Americana feel for Independence Day. Join them on Saturday, June 29th from 8:00am-noon where there will be food and craft vendors as well as fun activities for the whole family. And be sure to grab a spot for the parade which starts at 10:00!
Sunday, June 30
Viridian Stars and Stripes Celebration
From 3pm to dusk on Sunday, June 30th join Viridian in Arlington for their annual salute to Independence Day where you can enjoy music, bounce houses, food trucks, a pop-up market, and a silent auction benefiting Nehemiah Builds. And you'll of course want to stick around until the end of the vent for the fireworks show over Lake Viridian.
Register HERE to get a free event ticket which can be redeemed at the event for a Viridian freebie.
Wednesday, July 3
Addison Kaboom Town
This may be one of the most well-known (if not THE most well-known and well-attended) Independence Day event in the Metroplex. It's even been named as one of the top fireworks shows in the nation! Kaboom Town features a carnival, an air show, local food vendors, live music, and the fireworks show ending the night's festivities at 9:30pm. Admission is free but access to Addison Circle Park will be cut off once capacity is reached. We actually recommend purchasing an Addison hotel package for guaranteed admission and the best views of the fireworks show.

FWSO Concerts in the Garden: Old-Fashioned Family Fireworks Picnic
We love the Concerts in the Garden series from the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and are big fans of their Old-Fashioned Family Fireworks Picnic held on Wednesday, July 3 and Thursday, July 4 this year. The FWSO will honor Independence Day with a brilliant display of musical patriotism. So, pack a picnic and bring the whole family to enjoy music and fireworks!

Bring blankets and chairs to view the fireworks show launched from the roof of the MCL Grand around 9:30pm!

Doors open at 6:30pm and all parking is offsite at Vernon Newsom Stadium with free charter shuttles running continuously all night.
Southlake Stars and Stripes
The food alone at this year's Independence Day celebration in Southlake is reason enough to go. They'll have everything from Fletcher's Corn Dogs to Steel City Pops to gourmet food truck, BellaTrino. There are events and activities being held at three separate locations. Activities include patriotic ceremonies, live swing band music, balloon artists, an inflatable slide, a Toddler Zone, and midway games. The event starts at 6:00pm with the fireworks show taking place around 9:30.

Talk about a day of fun! Their Party in the Plaza begins at 4:00pm and features a wide array of fun activities for the family. There will also be a patriotic ceremony including a military flyover, a Children's Expo, a Hometown Hero Exhibit, their popular Taste of Frisco featuring Frisco restaurants, and local entertainers on the community stage. But the real star of the show is their fireworks finale which is one of the biggest in all of North Texas and will begin following the conclusion of the FC Dallas match at Toyota Stadium.
And if you like to run, you might also want to check out the Hotter 'n Firecrackers Glow 5K Run taking place in Frisco Square the evening of July 3rd.
Arlington 4th of July Parade
Check out the city of Arlington's oldest, longest running event - their annual 4th of July Parade! Red, White and Boom
Combine the charm of Historic Downtown McKinney with Independence Day celebrations and that's a win for us! The event will include a parade, classic car show, live entertainment and a fireworks show at Craig Ranch. The day full of events kicks off with the parade at 10:00am and the later events at Craig Ranch will begin at 5:30pm with the fireworks show starting sometime around 9:45pm.
Fair Park Fourth
Enjoy the Midway this Independence Day at Fair Park in Dallas where there will also be patriotic music, concessions, water inflatables, games, arts and crafts and more. Then the whole evening will come to an epic end with a spectacular fireworks show at approximately 9:30pm.
Fort Worth's Fourth
Have a blast along the Trinity River at the Panther Island Pavilion this year where you can enjoy horseback riding, tubing, bounce houses, a zip line, water slides and more. Sounds like fun to us!
