Jay Around Town: Places to Ring in 2018 Around DFW

I know most of you get all depressed when Christmas is over, but I personally love celebrating New Year's! I love setting new goals for both my personal life and my business. And I love to hit the ground running as soon as the new year arrives.

If you're looking for a way to celebrate the start of 2018 this weekend, we've compiled this list of New Year's Eve celebrations happening both local to Flower Mound as well as throughout the Metroplex. 

#1: New Year's Eve Celebration at Yellow Rose Steak and Chophouse

Cost: $65 per person

Yellow Rose Steak and Chophouse will be open for New Year's Eve and are serving a special Prix Fixe menu to ring in the new year. $65 per person will get you a luxurious three-course dinner and a glass of sparkling wine to toast to 2018 with. #2: New Year's Eve 2018 at Z Grill and Tap

Cost: $64 per person for dine-in; $15 cover charge for non dine-in

Z Grill and Tap is helping you celebrate the last night of 2017 with live music from Dynamite Rabbit and a delicious three-course menu including their special crab cakes, marinade quail, stuffed Chilean sea bass, filet mignon and a selection of homemade desserts. #3: New Year's Eve at Bistecca

Cost: $175 per couple

#4: Closing Night of Prairie Lights

Cost: $45 per car

If you want a family-friendly New Year's Eve activity, Sunday is the last night you can catch the two-mile stretch of holiday decorations at Prairie Lights in Grand Prairie. This amazing display features more than 4 million lights, hundreds of new displays, a Holiday Magic lighted walk-through forest, an indoor snow maze, and an animated light tunnel. #5: Dallas NYE Ball

Celebrate New Year's Eve in the heart of Downtown Dallas at the iconic Crowne Plaza Hotel. This year the party is being held on three floors to accommodate even more people. You can choose between the Throwback Room, the Mainstream Room, the Salsa Room, or the Underground Room. The Foundation Room at House of Blues will be throwing one of the biggest celebrations in Dallas featuring a seven-course dinner package with two available seating times (7:30 & 9:30 PM). For all you country-music lovers out there, you could have a blast ringing in the new year with live music from the Randy Rogers Band at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth. #9: New Year's Eve Bash 2017

Cost: $100 for Table Reservation for 4; $10 Cover Charge

I know tons of people who love Flying Saucer in Fort Worth and it's apparently one of the best places to be for New Year's Eve! They'll have an epic lineup of beers as well as a delicious Surf and Turf dinner. There will also be live music on the patio, a complimentary champagne toast at midnight and more!
